We keep this simple. This page explains what cookies are, which ones our website uses, why, and how to change your mind at any time.
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work. Others help us understand how the site is used or measure whether the ads we run are worth it. Nothing on this page reads your files, and none of it touches the clinical or billing information you might share with us — that's covered by our Privacy Policy.
When you first visit, we ask before setting any cookie that isn't strictly necessary. If you decline, the site still works exactly the same. Your choice is saved for 12 months, and you can change it whenever you like using the button below or the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.
These make the site work, remember your cookie choice, and keep the campaign details from the link you arrived on so we can save them with your form. They can't be switched off. When a form comes from a Google ad click, we send Google the ad click ID to measure that ad, as explained below.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
bwb_consent | Blue Water Billing | Remembers the cookie choice you made | 12 months | First party |
bwb_gclid, bwb_utm_*, bwb_lead_fn | Blue Water Billing | Keeps your first name for the thank-you page, and the ad click ID and campaign tags from the link you arrived on, so we can save them with your form and see which campaigns bring requests | Until you close the tab | First party (session storage) |
__cf_bm | Cloudflare | Protects our forms from spam and bots | 30 minutes | Third party |
cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Confirms you passed the bot check | Up to 1 year | Third party |
These tell us which pages get read, where visitors drop off, and whether the site is doing its job. The data is aggregated; we don't use it for advertising.
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Tells one visitor apart from another | 2 years | First party |

_gid | Google Analytics | Tells visitors apart (short-term) | 24 hours | First party |
_gat | Google Analytics | Limits how often data is sent | 1 minute | First party |
We run search ads to reach practices that need billing help. These cookies help us see which ads brought you here. We don't currently use them to show you ads on other sites. Declining doesn't affect the free review or anything else we offer.

We don't sell personal information. Some marketing cookies can count as "sharing" under certain state privacy laws because they let an ad platform recognize your browser across sites. Declining the Marketing category turns those cookies off. Separately, when you submit a form after clicking one of our Google ads, we send Google the ad click ID and the time of your request to measure that ad, whatever your cookie choice. We never send your name, email, or phone number. To opt out of that, email contact@bluewaterbilling.com.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a decline for marketing and analytics cookies automatically — you won't see the banner, and no optional cookies are set. It doesn't stop the ad click ID we send Google when you submit a form after clicking one of our ads; email us to opt out of that.
Email us at contact@bluewaterbilling.com. A person reads it.
